Your donation will enable us to continue to influence and have impact in the areas that make a difference. Over the past 12 months, our supporters have helped us to achieve: 

• Climate considered a ‘double dividend’ by state and federal government in Australia’s COVID-19 economic recovery. We did this through the release of Decarbonisation Futures, as well as our partnership with the Climate and Recovery Initiative and publication of our Recover and Reduce resource. 
• Tracking progress of net zero commitments in local government, retail, transport, superannuation and resources sectors. Our superannuation sector publication influenced major funds in their setting of targets.
• Convening some of industry’s biggest emitters as part of the Australian Industry Energy Transitions Index (ETI), driving action towards net zero across supply chains by 2050.
• Two influential pieces of work on cities – a wide-ranging transport study, and infrastructure report, which has informed governments and infrastructure agencies of the role infrastructure plays in enabling emissions, and how this can change. 

Through our partnership approaches that our supporters – like you – enable, we have made a difference by: 

• Engaging in high-level dialogues with a World Economic Forum regional action group to support a green recovery for ASEAN countries (Association of Southeast Asian Nations).
• Formalising our presence in the region with the addition of an office and four staff in Indonesia.
• Shifting the direction of the finance sector, by supporting development of a Sustainable Finance Roadmap for Australia.
• Working with BNP Paribas and other partners to create the first forward-looking Australian Climate Transition Index for the ASX300. Our approach flips the way investment risk is assessed – by focusing on a company’s future decisions, not just past actions.
• Developing and running two webinar series – one with the British High Commission – reaching thousands of people, bringing international experts to our networks.

Climateworks ensures that our work isn't siloed by thinking and operating with a systems change perspective, as well as leveraging off our well developed cross-sectorial relationships across business, government and industry, working from our strong foundation within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute at Monash University.

Reaching net zero requires this cross-sectorial and holistic systems thinking approach to reach the target in time. That's why your donation will support our work across seven systems critical to the transition – Cities, Food, Land and Oceans, Energy, Industry, Sustainable Economies, Sustainable Finance and Sustainable Corporates – with each system complementing the others to work together and raise ambition for a net zero future in Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
