In 2025, Sydney Chamber Choir celebrates 50 years of continuous operation. We are immensely proud of contributing significantly to the performance of choral music since our first concert in 1975. Commissioning new works from accomplished, well-known composers as well as talented new composers has always been a major part of what we do. 

To mark our 50th anniversary the choir will commission five composers to write five new works to be peformed in 2025, our 50th birthday year. We are inviting donors to contribute to this significant project. All donations will support the commissioning and performance of these new works, with opportunities also for larger donations that individually or jointly enable a composer's whole composition. Donations above $250 will be recognised by the choir in a Special Commissioning Circle. 

We are a choir of unpaid but highly skilled and experienced singers, delivering professional standard performances. We are a singer-run, incorporated association and registered charity with deductible gift recipient status. All eligible donations to our public fund are tax deductible.
