Traumatic Brain Injury, in all its various forms, can have long-lasting, negative consequences for patients and their families. Our goal is to improve lives for patients and their families following TBI of all severities.

In 2018, Traumatic Brain Injury researchers, clinical experts and major advocacy groups from across Australia united to develop a national plan to improve the lives of all patients following a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

In recognition of the value of the national initiative, in March 2019 funding of $50 million over 10 years was announced by the Federal Government for the creation of a Mission for TBI*.

The Mission is a major outcome for patients, clinicians and researchers alike, that has the potential to fulfill the research elements of the original large scale national plan.

Connectivity has been created to bring together people with lived experience of TBI, their carers, clinicians, service providers, allied health care professionals and people conducting research about TBI. Connectivity will connect researchers with the people they are trying to help and ensure that the enormous benefits from the original national plan are realised for the benefit of all Australians.

Connectivity will support research into how to prevent the disease processes experienced by people with TBI. We serve as a connection point to help researchers involve people with lived experience of TBI in their research. We will provide relevant and evidence based information to people with TBI, carers and clinicians to help improve the lives of people with TBI.
