Cottage by the Sea is a not-for-profit, independent children’s charity based in Queenscliff, Victoria. Established in 1890, Cottage’s mission is to enhance the lives of more children by providing inspiration, fun and opportunity within a seaside environment.

Cottage achieves its mission through diverse programs, which involve short-stay camps that focus on adventures in nature. Program participants are provided with opportunities to build positive relationships with peers and adult role models, which helps them learn and grow when they return to their schools and communities. Cottage also offers respite holidays for families in a secondary facility, Riptide Cottage.

There is a growing need for the organisation’s work and independent impact studies have shown that Cottage programs leave a lasting impact on children, from increasing their confidence and self-belief to enhancing their sense of belonging.
