Every year, thousands of kids from rural and regional Australia miss out on higher education and job opportunities. Their destiny is determined by their postcode.
The Country Education Foundation helps disadvantaged rural and regional school leavers change their lives through education and training. We believe everyone, no matter where they live, should be able to access education and training and pursue their dreams.
The CEF provides financial grants, scholarships, mentoring and support to disadvantaged rural and regional students to help them get into university, training, TAFE and careers. There are over 40 volunteer Education Foundations across regional Australia raising money locally to provide life-changing grants to disadvantaged local students.
Country Education Foundation grants are not determined by academic success - we support any realistic goals including apprenticeships, cadetships, diplomas and certificates, entry-level jobs, as well as university degrees.
Since 1993 we've give more than 3500 grants to disadvantaged young people across Australia.
We've bought toolkits for apprentices, laptops and textbooks for TAFE students, and helped remote students travel to capital cities to study at university. Our support resources for students include an annual University Survival Guide, a University Scholarship Guide and student mentor programs.
The CEF is proud of the success of our supported students - amongst our alumni are chefs, mechanics, journalists, builders and scientists. We can't wait to support a future Australian Prime Minister!
Give the gift of education to a disadvantaged young Australian now.
Donate to the Country Education Foundation and help us make more dreams come true through the life-changing opportunity of further education and training. Because education changes lives. And families. And communities.
