Fombe A is a very remote community in Zimbabwe. Children grow up in a community where education is increasingly abandoned in favour of survival. Since November 2025, committed Care Workers have been bringing life and hope to 50 children in Fombe A through 3 Essential Services: regular meals, educational supplies, and basic healthcare support.
The Community Based Organisation has secured a piece of land with a vision to build a Life Centre, a permanent place of care for the community's most vulnerable children. For a community where stability is rare, a building of their own sends a powerful message: that these children matter, and that there is a place for them in Fombe where they are seen and cared for.
As a team from Living Word Culcairn we recently went over to encourage, support and connect with the Care Workers, children and others involved. We are now keen to help the Fombe community start off with the build of their own Life Centre. To ensure this project is fully funded we are looking at raising $16,824. Would you consider partnering with us in this? We are very grateful for any contribution.
Thank you so much,
Living Word Team
