This year our first baby, Jack should be 10 years old. Unfortunately, at nearly 38 weeks gestation, on 14 Feb 2016, he was born still and silently into this world.
Finding out his little heart had stopped was absolutely devastating and broke our hearts into a million pieces. We first learnt about Hope Bereavement Care in the days and weeks that followed and over the years they have provided a range of support to our family from counselling, access to support groups and special remembrance events.
To show our support and thank this incredibly important organisation we want to celebrate Jack’s birthday this year by raising some money for them.
Hope Bereavement Care is a Geelong based not-for profit organisation that offers free information, support and counselling when grieving the death of a baby or child, the sudden or unexpected death of an adult, and for those experiencing the loss after suicide. The number of families they support each year is growing substantially but they do not received any direct government funding, relying on fundraising and support from charities to be able to continue providing these important services so that no one is alone in their grief.
In memory of Jack we would love it if our family and friends could support Hope by donating $$ no matter how small as I know they will appreciate every cent.
Also, I would be very grateful for you to share the link to this CrowdRaiser page to your friends and family. The more people who can help the better!
Thank you
