2026! This year I pledged to run 1040 kms (20kms/week) to help raise awareness and funds for Epilepsy; I have now increased my target to 1000 MILES since I am ahead of my original plan! So why am I running....
2 years ago, while in the final stages of completing both her Bachelor Degree & Masters, my daughter had a seizure, the first of many that still continue as it turns out. Enter the life changing world of Epilepsy. Falling into the medication resistant category, it has been a complicated and challenging journey so far and are extremely grateful for the support and medical care provided to us.
Naturally, we have learned a lot about epilepsy however initially, like most, we knew very little. I am helping to raise awareness & funds for Epilepsy WA because I am inspired by their work as they try to bring "epilepsy out of the shadows", prevent injury and save lives. The difference they make is truly amazing and, with 1 in 25 people diagnosed with epilepsy, there are so many people who would benefit of their work. Epilepsy WA does not receive regular government funding, like our other states do, and rely on donations to make things happen. Please help me support their vital and important work by donating to my CrowdRaiser. I know they appreciate and value every cent received. Please help me raise awareness by sharing my link with your friends and family. The more people who are aware, and can help, the better!
