Stand Up for our Wildlife

Supporting Darling Range Wildlife Shelter

Darling Range Wildlife Shelter

Rescue, Care and Rehabilitation of Australian Wildlife

Support me to make a difference for our wildlife. To mark the upcoming 20th anniversary of the Darling Range Wildlife Shelter and address our urgent need for funds, I'm embarking on a challenge: I aim to be the first to "stand up paddle" 42kms from Rottnest Island to Heirisson Island in the City of Perth. This route is symbolic of our shelter's work, which includes the rehabilitation of quokkas and the release of kangaroos on Heirisson Island.

In 2005, Michelle, supported by myself and a dedicated group of volunteers, founded the Darling Range Wildlife Shelter in Martin, WA. What began as a small care facility has evolved into a vital, not-for-profit organisation, rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing over 2,000 native animals annually. However, with the impacts of climate change and increasing urban expansion, our wildlife admissions have surged, stretching our resources.

Your support can make a real difference. By donating to our cause, you're directly contributing to the rescue and rehabilitation of native wildlife facing unprecedented challenges. Every contribution no matter the size is invaluable, with all funds raised directly supporting the Darling Range Wildlife Shelter.

Please donate today and help spread the word by sharing our CrowdRaiser page with your friends and family. Your generosity ensures that we can continue our mission to protect and restore our native wildlife.

I'm aiming to paddle in late April or May, chosen for more optimal weather conditions to navigate the challenging currents and winds of the Indian Ocean.

Thanks in anticipation of your support.
