This year, our team of 17 is taking part in the HBF Run for a Reason, and we’re running to support the Evie Gamble Foundation. Sepsis has had a profound and personal impact on our team. At the end of 2022, we lost beautiful little Evie—our teammate’s niece—after an infection that wasn’t treated effectively progressed into sepsis. Her loss is the reason we are committed to raising awareness and supporting the vital work of this foundation.
The Evie Gamble Foundation’s mission is to educate the community about the dangers of sepsis, prevent avoidable deaths, and advocate for meaningful change across the healthcare system. They work to improve early detection, strengthen treatment pathways, and ensure long-term support for survivors and their families.
Every year, thousands of Australians are affected by sepsis—a medical emergency that requires urgent action. Many do not survive, and many who do are left with lifelong impacts. Through education, advocacy, partnerships, and community outreach, the foundation is working to change these outcomes.
By donating to our CrowdRaiser, you’ll be supporting this important work. Every contribution, no matter the size, is genuinely appreciated by the foundation—and deeply appreciated by our whole team.
We would also be grateful if you could share the link to our CrowdRaiser with your friends, family, and networks. The more people who know about sepsis and can support this cause, the greater the impact we can make together.
Thank you so much for your support.
