Why we’re fundraising

We’re the Mission to Seafarers – Wellington Team, and we’re raising funds to support the incredible work of The Mission to Seafarers. Every day, seafarers keep global trade moving — often spending months away from home, facing isolation, tough conditions, and limited access to support while in port.

The funds we raise will go directly toward providing vital frontline welfare support to seafarers visiting ports across New Zealand and the Oceania region. This includes practical help, a safe place to rest, access to communication with loved ones, and compassionate human connection when it’s needed most.
