The Craig Family Centre is a community based organisation that provides services to support individuals and families within the local community. This centre has strong community development focus and encourages participation and involvement of the local community.

The centre offers many programs including child care, support programs, community development and leisure activities. Membership is open to people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and culture groups.

The Craig Family Centre is committed to working with and for the community. We are involved in developing community programs, information sharing, mutual support, advocacy and community participation in local and social issues.

The Craig has proven its ability to successfully value add to services for young people in our community. We actively provide programs, mentoring and space for your young people. This is truly an investment in our community's future.

We have contact with the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities and many families and individuals come to The Craig Family Centre for advice, advocacy and information. Community members feel comfortable to come to us with issues, which they don't understand. We are able to assist them or we can act as their advocate or refer them to the most appropriate agency. This has enabled us to establish trust in the community as a place where "problems" can be aired and suitable responses can be developed. We also have families attending and becoming aware of other services available to them within our Centre such as Occasional Care, Three Year Old Kinder and our other Community Development programs.

There are many stories we could tell of community resilience, community strength and social cohesion that we see through our involvement in the community. We rely heavily on funding to be able to run these programs and maintain them.
