Defence Community Dogs

The Defence Bank Foundation is an independent charity established to raise funds to help injured, wounded and disadvantaged current and ex-serving Army, Navy and Air Force members and their families.  Our chosen beneficiary is the Defence Community Dogs program.  100% of funds donated are used to support the Defence Community Dogs program.

The Defence Community Dog Program:

The Program rescues and rehomes dogs then trains them to Assistance Dog level to support serving and ex-serving Australian Defence Force personnel suffering from injuries and illnesses including Post-traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD).  The dogs are intensively trained by inmates at Correctional Centres under the guidance of professional dog trainers. It takes around 10 months and thousands of dollars to train each dog. Your donation will help us to rescue and train more dogs to help our Veterans.

A Unique Win, Win, Win program:

This program is giving dogs a second chance, rehabilitating prisoners and improving the lives of many veterans.
