What is Castlemaine Community House?
Castlemaine Community House (CCH) is a vital and much-loved community hub—a welcoming place for young and old, where visitors can make connections, learn new skills, participate in community activities, receive free financial advice, bring a community group together, share a meal and much, much more. From men’s cooking to social prescribing, from youth engagement to yoga, from art classes to digital literacy, and from Pride Picnics to Spring Balls—CCH helps to build and sustain our amazing community.
How can I support CCH?
Donating to Castlemaine Community House helps us keep our programs affordable, our spaces open and welcoming, and our free food pantry stocked—so that everyone in our community has a place to belong and the support they deserve.
Your donation goes far beyond dollars—it helps pay the wages of the dedicated staff who run unfunded programs, attend vital network meetings, and advocate to all levels of government to ensure our community’s voice is heard. It helps us cover everyday essentials like rent, power, and the upkeep of a safe, secure IT system—so people can come in and confidently use our public computers to access housing, employment, health, and financial resources.
Every contribution also helps us offer free scholarships, discounted course fees, and meal fee waivers for those experiencing financial hardship. And it allows us to open our doors to essential community programs—like free tax help, mental health support, employment services, and health checks—at no cost.
When you give to CCH, you’re not just making a donation—you’re investing in opportunities for connection, learning, and wellbeing that enable every member of our community to thrive and participate fully.
