DVConnect operates a range of telephone helplines to assist Queenslanders escaping domestic and family violence, as well as support those who have experienced sexual assault.
We help ALL Queenslanders – women, men and children. All ages, all religions, all incomes, all accessibilities, all ethnicities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) people and the LGBTIQA+ community.
Between July 2019 and June 2020 DVConnect received 1 call every 4 minutes and 137, 987 contacts (a 33% increase on the previous year) providing support to women, young people and men.
Queensland says NO to domestic, family and sexual violence! Ending domestic and family violence is the responsibility of all of us.
