Radio is probably the purest medium. We all grew up with radio and many of us can recall the excitement of hearing a new song or band. Then we couldn't wait to hear it again. We followed our favorite announcers and we shared our passion with friends. Ah! …. The good old days!

Well the good old days are still here and that's where you can assist. With registered tax deductible status, Edge Radio gives you the chance to have your cake and eat it too!

If you become a donor to Edge Radio, you will be assisting with the long term survival of a vital cultural link for the youth of Hobart. As a not-for-profit community broadcaster, we are often the first opportunity for exposure and connection to the media in something more than a passive way. We encourage young people to get involved. Edge Radio provides training and experience, while also giving youth the chance to join an organization and stay connected to their community. We give them a voice … literally!

Your contribution will allow us to continue developing programs that focus on music, the arts, news and current affairs, ethnic issues, science, film and even Formula 1 racing. Yes we encourage diversity! Have a look at our attached program grid and see for yourself.

So we ask you to think about making a donation to keep us on air. We need public support to keep doing the sort of work that we think is invaluable and your contribution will go a long way to keeping us sustainable and, just as importantly, keeping us relevant. But we really need your assistance to make a difference.

For example we are a leader in Australian community radio, boasting a playlist that comprises an industry high 40% Australian music content, 10% of which is Tasmanian. We believe in promoting and supporting local music and the artists, who write, perform and record here in Tassie.

Your contributions are all completely tax deductible, as we are a registered charitable organization with DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status. You, or your agent, will be issued with a receipt allowing you to claim your exemption. You might even choose to make your contribution through your company if you wish.
