Each year, the Emerging Writers’ Festival centers, celebrates and support emerging storytellers of all kinds with our annual eight-day Festival and suite of year-round developmental opportunities. With the majority of our programming being completely free, we rely on the generosity of arts makers, lit-lovers and supporters like you to make what we do happen.
$10, $20, $50, $100. Donations of any size and any level of support all go directly back to the future creators, storytellers and emerging arts leaders that inspire thousands, shape cultures and ignite the creativity in us all.

The Emerging Writers’ Festival respectfully acknowledges the First Nations people and traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, learn and play, the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, and their Elders. EWF celebrates the history and creativity of the world’s oldest living culture. Sovereignty was never ceded. This was and always will be Aboriginal land.
