About this cause

Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Service (BWAHS) is committed to ending family violence through culturally safe, Aboriginal-led healing, prevention and early intervention initiatives that strengthen the lives of individuals, families and community. Fundraising efforts support the delivery of specialist family violence services, therapeutic and cultural healing programs, community education, crisis and practical supports, and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to reconnect with culture, community and wellbeing. Through these initiatives, BWAHS aims to break cycles of intergenerational trauma and violence, empower victim survivors, support accountability and healing, and create safer, stronger futures for Aboriginal families and communities across the Eastern Metropolitan Region of Victoria.
