Experimenta is Australia’s leading organisation dedicated to commissioning, exhibiting and touring contemporary art driven by ideas and shaped by technology. Experimenta develops and presents work that asks of us all, what does our future looks like? Over the years, we have created opportunity, experiences and community. We are glad to have you as part of the Experimenta experience, and family. You can see just some of the impact we make through our artistic programming here.
Rewind/Accelerate: Experimenta at 40 and Beyond
In 2026, Experimenta celebrates its 40th year, and continues to inspire audiences through art driven by ideas and exploring technology. We seek to nurture artists to develop commissioned new work, establish residency programs for deep creative development, and deliver on education and access.
Your donation will help enable a significant and vibrant program of contemporary work, reflections and dialogue through Rewind/Accelerate, with accessibilty at its core. We aim to:
Experience Experimenta through Experimenta Sub Rosa
Our Sub Rosa is a club for Experimenta lovers. Donations of $1000 or over gain access to our newest way to experience the ideas, connection and community of Experimenta organisers and artists. Get invitations to join us for a more intimate and acccessible ways to have a conversation borne from art and ideas. It will be fun, and it will be just for you (and a friend).
Yes, we need you!
Like many arts organisations, Experimenta does rely on donations and the giving generosity of our community, to support us each year to deliver on our mission, alongside a range of grants and earned income. That means we need you, we hope, just like you need us. We are now being more explicit about this reality. Our organised fundraising campaigns give us a chance to tell you more about what we hope to achieve in the future, and how you can help make this happen. We have also established our Donor programs to create more ways to support and engage with us, outside our general arts programming outcomes. We also love to hear from our supporters about what is meaningful for you.
