It can be tough if you are new to the area, or have no one to call when you need some support.

Family Support Program is a home visiting service which provides practical and emotional support to local families experiencing difficulties. Family Support Program aims to help parents to feel more confident, help families connect with their community and help improve the bonds within a family.

Family Support Program has a Coordinator, Family Support worker and a team of trained volunteers.  

The volunteers visit families and provide assistance such as: 

· a listening ear

· information about services

· practical support during a time of change, eg: after a baby  is born, or a relationship has ended

·  help to develop new skills and  confidence

·  encouragement to set and reach  goals.

·  help to join an activity

Any family in our area  with children aged between 0-18 years is welcome to contact FSP regarding the service. The Coordinator will meet with the family to discuss the program & negotiate goals. We offer a service when the requests match the program objectives, and we have a suitable volunteer available.
