With our increased participation through our Fee Free Football(FFF) program we need to build a bigger storeroom.

Currently all our training and game day equipment is stored in a small changeroom. This makes it hard to run efficiently and effectively. With your help we can help more kids enjoy playing sport for NOTHING!

A bit more about our FFF program

Introducing Fee Free Football (FFF)
This season has seen Balga SC take a huge leap in the way junior football is run. Not only at our club but Australia in general. For far too long fees have only ever gone one way, and that is UP. This to us at Balga SC is completely wrong. Is it fair that if you don't have money you can’t take your football seriously? Of course it’s not and this should never be the case. Unfortunately, we continue to see too many instances where our talented kids head to one of the so called big clubs, pay big fees and come away disinterested with football completely. Things had to change! But how?
It was in that moment "Fee Free Football" (FFF) was born. From the middle of 2017, the Balga SC committee worked tirelessly to get a plan together to make free junior football a reality. Not just for one season but for many years to come.
When you try to change and disrupt an entire system there will be a lot of challenges to overcome. One of the main hurdles to overcome is financial of course. Where are we able to generate income if we are not collecting fees? We had to come up with an idea to not only receive income, but we had to make sure it is a place that everyone feels safe and welcome. It was a journey into the unknown. How do we get people to ‘buy in’ to the FFF family and Balga SC?
The other challenge is getting all the families to do their bit and participate around the club. We identified a number of key areas that we believe will bring best value to the program. Having families jump on board and run those areas is vital. There has been a huge increase in help around the club and we will look to improve this area next year. Is the plan perfect? No. Is it better than what we had before? Absolutely.
By making the program only available to Balga SC members we are building a culture and environment that all members can be proud of. By inviting parents, guardians, families to become involved in Balga SC we believe it will bring not just the kids together but the whole community. We want to see Balga thrive and we strongly believe that football is the best way to engage all the new families to the area.
This is not a one-year marketing ploy but a strongly held belief that this is the future of football in Australia. We know that FFF is not for every club but we think it fits perfectly to what we want Balga SC to be.
We’re making the mighty Black and Green once again a powerhouse of football in WA. Now is the perfect time to re-affiliate yourself with your club. There are very exciting times ahead and we are always looking for more Balga supporters to come on board.
