Welcome to the “Champions of FLING Phase II" campaign!

FLING Physical Theatre, an award-winning youth dance organisation based in the Bega Valley, thrives as a home for creativity. For over 20 years we have promoted dance and theatre appreciation while nurturing the confidence, resilience, and creativity of young community members.

The Champions campaign is all about connecting people who love FLING, with our mission. We want to bring you closer to our organisation, making you an integral part of our family. When you make a donation, we'll provide you with insights into our process, and celebrate your giving journey. From there, you can be involved in various ways - from visiting our studios, attending our shows, or hearing from our Creative Team. Our job is to empower you to help us share our story!

This is a unique moment in our company’s history, as all donations will be matched dollar for dollar by Plus1, a NSW Government initiative - doubling your impact. With your support we can make FLING studio a creative hub for our region.

As we embark on this campaign, we're sensing a shift towards investing in future-proofing our incredible creative community - recognising that our young people’s dreams hold immense power in shaping the cultural landscape. Your generous contributions will not only support the essential renovations for our FLING Studio but will also pave the way for the delivery of FLING programs for young people in regional Australia. With the doubled impact of the Plus1 Grant, your funds will fuel the continued creation of dynamic and inspiring work, and will directly contribute to nurturing creativity, confidence, and resilience in every child who walks through our doors.

In 2023, we achieved a major milestone by establishing a permanent home, a high-quality dance facility on Eden Street in Bega. This has opened up new horizons for our community students, company members and dance artists from across Australia alike. We're now reaching out to our incredible supporters to help us raise $15,000 for the next stage of our journey.

We need your support to take FLING Studio to the next level. Your donation will help us complete renovations and get us performance ready including:

- Performance Infrastructure at FLING Studio (lighting, sound, rigging)
- Sound Proofing
- Painting and Office renovation
- Landscaping

Alongside these more practical elements, your funds will enable us to give more young people in the community a sense of belonging. Time where they can be their truest selves, creating with like-minded kids and exploring movement in a safe and accessible way. 

This campaign harnesses the belief that young people understanding themselves better, having the space to create, and the support to thrive, amplifies their opportunities in the future. We want to show that FLING provides an essential, inclusive, diverse, inspiring, and empowering space for the youth in our regional community, and makes impactful change.
