In 2025, the MCCI family of staff, volunteers, members, and supporters proudly celebrated 50 years of community impact across the Illawarra. We celebrated the incredible contribution of migrants, refugees, and established generations of communities in building our modern multicultural region together.
This year marks an important next step for the MCCI family as we move into a new home at Coniston and create a future for our communities together at the Illawarra Regional Multicultural Centre.
This centre will be:
• A trusted, accessible centre for multicultural services
• A place for multicultural associations to meet and host events
• An anchor point for the Illawarra’s social cohesion and community collaboration
This centre has been made possible through a matched investment by the Australian Government and MCCI, along with the support of our broader community. We are now inviting partners and supporters from the MCCI family to help bring this vision fully to life.
Become a Foundation Supporter

As one of our early contributors, you will be recognised on our honour board within the centre and online, a lasting acknowledgement of your role in helping to shape a space that will serve multicultural communities for generations to come.
