GenWest's vision is to see achieve gender equity in Melbourne’s west so that everyone can lead healthy and safe lives, free from family violence and oppression. We provide services that help victim survivors of family violence. We support communities to lead safe and healthy lives, by running social and education programs for people who experience inequity. We also partner with other organisations to advocate for equal rights and the prevention of family violence.

Your donation will help us provide vital services including:

• Crisis support for victim survivors living in fear of, or escaping from, family violence. Last year, our after hours team provided 726 outreach visit and our 24-hour crisis support team responded to 13,667 police referrals.
• Supporting victim survivors of family violence to lead safe, healthy and secure lives. Our housing, counselling, court support and refuge services help women and children to heal and recover from their family violence experiences. Last year, we supported 118 victim survivors to access safe accommodation and our Children's and Youth Counselling team supported 262 children and young people.
• Promoting positive health and wellbeing in our community. Last year, 30,000+ people were reached by online sexual and reproductive health campaigns, 800+ people attended our training on gender equity and the primary prevention of family violence, and 50 womens, gender diverse and non binary people engaged with our Sunrise Groups for people with disabilities or chronic health conditions.
