In 1953 a group of parents of children with a disability who had no appropriate services to access, banded together and started Greenacres Special School. The hard work and foresight of these parents was the catalyst for the development of the multifaceted organisation that Greenacres Disability Services is today, which is totally committed to the development of skills and delivering 'Best Practice' Person Centered services to all our service users across vocational and non-vocational needs.
As a charitable not-for-profit service we have been providing support to people with a disability in the Illawarra for more than 60 years.
Today we support over 1000 people with a disability in Training & Education, Employment & Leisure and Living & Community.
Your much needed generosity will be able to help us provide more employment skills training programs, specialised equipment for our service users, a Discovery Program and the opportunity to gain their Duke of Edinburgh Award for our younger services users as well as similar life & living skills training.
