This is the core of Community Music Victoria’s work - enabling more people to take part in music making.
There's nothing wrong with listening but it’s through actively making music that the most profound joys and fulfilment can be found.
We are raising money for stage 2 of the Growing Community Music project, which will build networks of community music makers throughout regional Victoria. We will employ local catalysts who will be supported by the central hub on CMVic to activate networks in their local areas, arrange skill-sharing events for leaders and would-be leaders of community music groups and thereby create the ground for many more people to take part in music making.
