Girl Guides Queensland has been empowering girls for over 100 years. We’re proud of our long history supporting Queensland’s young women. But we know we cannot do it alone. Your advocacy, encouragement, and direct support makes a lasting impact.
While headlines remind us daily how tough the world can be for women and girls, Girl Guides QLD is quietly building something different: a place where girls and young women can speak up, lead, and grow strong together.
Right now in communities across Queensland, girls are finding their voice through the Guiding Program. They're learning to lead, to speak up, and to give back. They’re not waiting to grow up to make a difference. They’re learning how to create one now.

- Supply a uniform and yearly membership for girl in need
- Deliver leadership training for young women to develop transferable life skills
- Support a full year of activities and leadership camps for a Guide Unit

Through our Social Impact surveys we have found that young girls maintain a high level of wellbeing across their time with Girl Guides QLD. Wellbeing is measured for Girl Guides using a robust and established satisfaction with life scale to understand how Guides feel about their life overall.
Girls aged 8-12 scored 4.32 on an overall wellbeing scale of 1-5
Teens aged 13–17 showed several positive changes while in the Guiding program. Improvements in adaptability, problem-solving, and self-discipline reflected growth in resilience, while better communication and coping showed gains in life skills. This suggests the Guide program helps teens build resilience and develop practical skills for everyday life.
