About Jean Gardner

Jean Gardner began her Guiding journey at the age of 12 in Melbourne and remained actively involved in Guiding throughout her life, achieving an impressive 68 years of membership. After moving to Tasmania, she served as a Guide Leader and took on several significant leadership roles, including State Secretary, Trainer, Guide Adviser, and State Council member. Following World War II, Jean also served with the Guide International Service in Germany, contributing to post-war recovery efforts. Her lifelong dedication and service left a lasting impact on Guiding both in Tasmania and beyond.
