Health on the Streets is a mobile van taking healthcare to vulnerable and homeless people on the Central Coast. These individuals often face a range of barriers to accessing basic healthcare services, such as going to a GP. The team are committed to ensuring all people have a right to basic healthcare, safety and dignity, and they provide a range of support and services to those doing it tough. The van is staffed by healthcare professionals and outreach workers who offer immediate support to vulnerable people. Linking with other providers of housing and community services to bring as much support as possible to people accessing Health on the Streets.
Health on the Streets welcome donations which go directly to providing healthcare products and services to vulnerable and homeless people on the Central Coast.
The healthcare services that are available from the mobile clinic include but are not limited to: Hep B and Flu vaccinations, sexual health screening and assessments, mental health assessments, GP referrals, blood borne virus screening, dental and spectacle referrals, detox and rehab advocacy.
