Meet Kelly, an 8-month-old bundle of joy whose happy puppy days were suddenly interrupted when she began limping on her right hind leg. After a thorough vet check, it was discovered that poor Kelly was suffering from a luxating patella — a painful condition where the kneecap slips out of place.

To give her the chance at a pain-free, playful life, Kelly recently underwent specialist surgery to repair her knee. Two tiny pins were inserted to stabilise the joint, and her post-operation X-rays show that the surgery went beautifully. 🩺✨

Now, this brave girl faces the next part of her journey — 5 to 6 weeks of strict crate rest at the shelter, under close monitoring from our team. It’s a tough ask for a lively young pup, but with gentle care and love, she’s already proving what a fighter she is.
