About this cause

Born out of the role and value of sport and the influence the North Melbourne Football Club plays in connecting people across different ages, genders, and cultures; The Huddle was established in 2010 as the community arm of the Club in partnership with the Scanlon Foundation and the Australian Multicultural Foundation.

It was established to engage, support, and empower young people to build on their strengths, and contribute to more socially inclusive communities.

Since its inception, The Huddle’s programs have engaged over 200,000 young people across Australia from over 160 different cultures.

The Huddle’s work has been recognised as innovative and best practice, evidenced by numerous awards, including (but not limited to):

  • 2012 Victorian Premier’s Award for Community Harmony
  • 2013 National Migration and Settlement Awards for Leadership
  • 2014 Victorian Community Sport and Recreation Minister’s Award
  • 2016 Melbourne Award for Outstanding Contribution to Multiculturalism

Your donation to The Huddle will help inspire brighter futures. With your generosity, we can continue to provide opportunities in schools and the community to empower young people to learn, grow, and feel a sense of belonging.
