About this cause

Winter is one of the most difficult times of year for people experiencing homelessness. Cold nights, wet weather and rising living costs place enormous pressure on individuals, young people and families already in crisis.

Indigo Junction has been supporting the Midland community since 1979 by providing emergency accommodation, outreach support and essential supplies to keep people safe through winter.
In recent years, we have recorded a significant increase in requests for emergency relief during the winter months, with around 2000 requests received last winter.

HOW YOUR WINTER DONATION HELPS

During the colder months, donations help us provide:

  • Emergency accommodation and crisis support
  • Food vouchers, hot meals and essentials items such as blankets and coats
  • Outreach support for people sleeping rough
  • Counselling, advocacy and intensive case management

OUR IMPACT (2024/2025)

  • 2,200 food vouchers, meals and essentials distributed
  • Housing and support for 23 families including 29 young people, 13 women and 19 children escaping family and domestic violence
  • 1,202 instances of outreach support to people experiencing homelessness

THIS WINTER, YOUR SUPPORT CAN BE LIFE-CHANGING

With your help, we can respond quickly and compassionately to people facing homelessness during winter by keeping them warm, safe and supported when it matters most.

Donate to the Winter Appeal today and help protect vulnerable people in our community this winter.
