International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA) is an Australian-based gender equality organisation that exists to advance the rights of women, girls and gender-diverse people. We partner with locally led women’s rights organisations across Asia and the Pacific, resourcing them with money, skills and access to help them achieve their goals.
Our partners’ on-the-ground work changes the lives of women and girls. Their work includes providing life-saving services to women escaping gender-based violence, supporting women to take leadership positions, teaching local communities the skills and knowledge they need to uphold women’s rights, and working to change the systems that limit women and girls. We have 28 urban and rural partners across Cambodia, Myanmar, Timor Leste, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands.
IWDA also makes our own contributions to the global women’s rights movement. We undertake research, collect gender data, and take on advocacy work within Australia and globally to achieve our vision of gender equality for all.
