Jamieson is a tiny community nestled in the crook of the Jamieson River just upstream of its confluence with the mighty Goulburn. Heavily timbered mountains encircle the town, which is arguably one of Victoria's prettiest hamlets. We are at the foot of the Great Divide and as such we are a sub-alpine climate. This means lots of rain, heavy frosts in winter and, because we face North, intense summer heat! The school's main entrance is a jumble of covered walkways and semi-verandahs, which never keep the driving rain at bay. During the winter, everyone has to make a dash through the pelting rain to reach the toilet block and invariably the more (mis)adventurous among them come trailing back in with soggy shoes and dripping all over the carpet.

The works would involve extending the roofline and building two new walls to create an extra space of 25m2 under cover.
