Thank you for your interest in setting up your donations facility through GiveNow, Australia's favourite and only commission-free online donations platform. Our service is run by the Our Community Foundation and supported by Westpac.
Your GiveNow account will allow you to take online donations seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Along with collecting donations via the internet, you will also be able to promote donating by phone, fax, post and bequest.
This donations facility is a commission-free service: we take NO commission or fees for this service. The only fees that will be incurred are the credit card transaction fees that are deducted from the donation (currently 0.99% for Visa and Mastercard and 1.43% for Amex), while monthly direct debit donations incur no fees at all.
Your organisation owns all of your data – GiveNow does not use any of the donor details in any way.
Donations made to your organisation through GiveNow are safe – our system has the highest level of secure encryption for donor protection.

Before You Begin
It’s frustrating to begin an online process only to realise you don’t have all the necessary information at hand. To help you out, we’ve listed everything you need before you begin.
1. Check You Have an Authority to Fundraise
The first step is to check that you have the relevant Authority to Fundraise. This varies from state to state and if you are fundraising in more than one state you must meet the fundraising authority requirements of each state. We can’t register your cause on GiveNow if you don’t meet state fundraising requirements so make sure you do this as your first priority.
Please note that being registered as a charity with the ACNC is not the same as having an Authority to Fundraise – they are two very separate things. Check out the fundraising requirements in your state:
2. Do you have all the necessary documents you will need to upload?
Certificate of Registration or Incorporation as a Company or Incorporated Association
Authority to Fundraise certificate for all the States in which you plan to fundraise
Verification of bank account details – this can be a deposit slip or bank statement with your organisation name and account and BSB details
Your organisation’s logo
3. Your Cause Text
This is the information about your organisation and what you are collecting money for that all donors and potential donors will see so it needs to reflect who you are and what you do in a punchy and engaging way.

It is important to have your cause text pre-prepared so you can copy and paste it into the field. If you take too long, the page will time out and you will lose you data.
4. Do you agree to the terms and conditions?
Before you sign on it’s important to understand your obligations and those of GiveNow. Have a read and if you are happy with what you read simply tick the box below and you can begin your registration with GiveNow.

5. Go ahead and register
Once you have clicked through to the next page, you will be able to set up your own SmartyFile account and list your first cause with GiveNow. With all the paper-work handy, this should only take you a few minutes. Through SmartyFile, you will be able to log in, view all of your donor data, manage your profile and list new causes.
6. You'll hear from us as soon as your cause is live
You have now completed your application. We will do our best to get back to you with your custom donations page within one week of your submission.
