Kids Helpline is Australia's only private and confidential, telephone and online counselling service for young people aged between 5 and 25 years.

Counsellors respond to more than 5,000 contacts each week about issues ranging from relationships and bullying, to abuse, suicidal thoughts, and drug use.

Of the young people that get though, everyday:

• Three are referred to an emergency service to deal with serious issues such as child abuse
• 20 have thoughts of suicide
• 15 are facing mental health concerns
• 21 speak with counsellors about self-injury

Sadly, we can't tell you about the issues facing the children who don't get through.

No other organisation speaks to young Australians.
