Fitzroy Learning’s Kitchen Project began with a kickstart from donors like you. We have continued to nurture the group who cook for the weekly market on the housing estate and cater for community events and stalls.

We have now taken on the baking project run on the housing estate that provides sourdough, bagels and focaccia for the Tuesday Market. To make it sustainable we want to increase the output and support people with Kitchen Safety Training.

You can help by:-

• assisting us to purchase a large and fantastic bread mixer [$3,000],
• subsidising training costs [$1,600],
• covering the cost of flour and other supplies [$900pa]

The mixer will increase our capacity and support events such as community dinners and extend the experience of people working with us.

The Kitchen Safety Training will increase people’s experience and support employment pathways.

Meeting the cost of supplies relives pressure on this project as it builds toward sustainability.

Your investment in this project will support employment of local community members and people settling in the City of Yarra, and enable enterprising people to build small business experience within the supportive framework of our Kitchen Project.
