HeartKids Australia 'Grants-in-Aid' program


Why are we collecting funds?

We provide grant funding to support the HeartKids Australia 'Grants-in-Aid' medical research into Childhood Heart Disease.

100% of your donation goes to this program.

How are the funds used?

Everyday in Australia 8 babies are born with a heart defect and each week 4 will die. There is no known cure or prevention.

HeartKids Australia does not receive any government funding and is totally reliant on corporate and community support.

Kiwanis and HeartKids Australia have a strong and productive relationship. This provides funding for research into Childhood Heart Disease through the HeartKids 'Grants-in-Aid' program.

In the past 5 years the Foundation has contributed $170,000 to this program that has enabled development and growth of the 'Grants-in-Aid' program. In turn this, together with other HeartKids Australia partners, has funded 29 projects to a total value of $1,310,000.
