Join a team and come and walk for mental health. Are you passionate about promoting family and community mental health and workplace psycho-social wellbeing?
Come join us at Wireless Hill on 13 September with our friends from the Rotary clubs of Applecross Attadale and Melville with your family, friends or work colleagues to walk for mental health.
Walk and talk with local practitioners and support groups.
Support ground-breaking research with all proceeds going into pre-teen mental health research through Australian Rotary Health
Australian Rotary Health is one of Australia's biggest independent funders of mental health research grants, resulting in world class programs for over 20 years. Now research is focussing on early detection and prevention, after pioneering work in mental illness, general mental health and teen mental health.
Local employers, families, support groups, practitioners, employee assistance providers, schools, sports clubs and community groups are welcomed!
Get your team together now, registrations OPEN from August 1st (select "CrowdRaise now" below).
To get involved, rather than buying a ticket, we hope teams will help fundraise and spread the message that local mental health support exists. Donations over $2 are tax deductible.
After the walk, please visit local service providers and support groups at our Wireless Hill "Lift the Lid" EXPO, showcasing local mental health and wellbeing practitioners and networks assisting those with mental health challenges.
Participants should be aware that their participation is at their own risk. Care should be taken on paths, traffic crossings and uneven surfaces etc. Good shoes and weather appropriate gear is recommended.
Follow and share event developments on Facebook Rotary WA Health, or for general enquiries please email arhwateam@gmail.com
