The centre is owned by the combined Lions Clubs of Victoria and accommodates up to 250 people in 16 self contained houses, with a wide range of facilities and equipment that enables the camp to provide special programs to differing groups. The centre requires continuing funding to enable continuance of its mission, to offset the costs of sponsorships and voluntary leaders for it programs.
Licola is dedicated to enhancing the life experiences of the disadvantaged and those with special needs by providing a caring environment and special programs that build confidence, social and other skills and provide rewarding and enriching life experiences. Most of this work is undertaken by volunteers (who are often young and in training for social work). Funds received will be used specifically for this volunteer activity.
