Singing is ancient and universal. Vocalisation is our vessel for the most basic and innate forms of human communication. Our voices were our first instruments, and have a unique capacity to tell stories.  Singing goes hand in hand with making meaning, and whether the music soothes us or challenges us, something special happens when singers come together.

That’s why Luminescence exists, both as the Luminescence Chamber Singers - a professional ensemble, and as the Luminescence Children’s Choir  - a premier program for singers aged 10 – 17.  We seek to give voice to human experiences of all kinds, and to  uplift, inspire, and move audiences in shared moments of music.
