Born on the Sunshine Coast, the Mateship Foundation was unofficially launched by local brewery Your Mates Brewing in 2019 with its first ‘Meats with Mates’ luncheon event. Founded by a few mates over a couple of beers, the Mateship Foundation was created to encourage individuals to feel comfortable to express themselves through positive conversations and living life to the fullest.

Since then, the Mateship Foundation has helped raise over $150,000 for local and Queensland based charities through event fundraising and direct donations.

Driven by continued passion coupled with the encouragement and support of our local Sunshine Coast community, the Mateship Foundation was officially established in 2022 to continue to raise funds and awareness through encouraging mateship, inclusivity and sustainability.
