i) UAFL will be made available to all Australians, males and females experiencing a range of mental health issues, and who require the on-site services on offer by a team of multidisciplinary mental health professionals and specialist carers. This will include those referred to UAFL from all medical practitioners, hospital emergency departments, SA Health triage, ambulance, community referral, walk-ins, Police etc
ii) UAFL will be guided by recovery expertise; medical, family, carer; and the medical, personal, professional history of those who choose this mental care option. Particularly in the obvious absence of multidisciplinary mental health care facilities and the need for this vital collaborative, multidisciplinary care
iii) Each patient will be treated based on their unique condition and circumstances as assessed by a team of multidisciplinary professional medical practitioners and psychologists
iv) As outlined in our original presentation, this model proposed by UAFL is unique in that it will offer in house care; including a range of non-invasive therapeutic programs, combined with traditional medical care (referred to as complementary, integrative, whole body care)
We expect significant support from conventional based medical providers for UAFL who are already referring increasing numbers of mental health patients to receive the services provided by multidisciplinary professionals. Recent reported statistics states that the mental health conditions of Australians have increased significantly since COVID-19; and has become unmanageable by the current medical system.
