Mental Health Recovery

Mental Health Recovery is about learning to live with a mental illness and developing the skills needed to survive in the hectic world that is the 21st Century.

Your donation will help fund important hands-on support for people living with a mental illness. This support enables skill development and engenders a sense of purpose through peer support.

It enables those who live with a mental illness to share their experiences and gain strength and understanding by knowing they are not alone.

Why are you collecting funds?

To support people living with mental illness in their journey to recovery.

How will the funds be used?

Peer support for consumers and carers - one to one and group support for consumers and carers through the different psycho-social rehabilitation programs and services offered by the Mental Health Foundation.

These include:

Skills for Life a program that focuses on strategies and tools to minimise distressing symptoms and improve the quality of life for people who experience a range of mental health issues.

Rainbow is a psycho-social rehabilitation program providing a place where people with mental illness can meet, enjoy social activities and enhance their vocational and life skills.

Peer Support Program is a free service offered to people with schizophrenia and bipolar, provided by experienced, mature, insightful people with the same condition. Peer Support aims to allow people with similar experiences discuss common circumstances, opinions, and share information on services, in a friendly atmosphere.
