Mercy Ships is a medical charity that operates the world's leading independent hospital ship, the Africa Mercy, and has transformed the lives of more than 2.42 million people in the least developed countries for over 35 years. We donate FREE, state-of-the-art surgical operations and medical care to the poorest of the poor who cannot afford or do not have access to medical care. Our Australian surgeons, nurses and other staff volunteer their services and pay for their own expenses so we can treat more people.
Donating as little as $25 can help desperately ill infants, children and adults to live a normal life.
$25 = supports one patient onboard the ship for one day
$50 = provides one patient with dental surgery
$100 = allows two patients with crossed eyes to receive corrective surgery
$250 = provides one patient suffering from bowed legs or club feet with orthopaedic surgery
$500 = gives two children with cleft lips or palate corrective surgery
$1,000 = provides maxillofacial surgery to four patients with life threatening tumours
