Musculoskeletal Australia (MSK) is a community organisation, working on behalf of the nearly 7 million Australians with conditions such as osteoarthritis, back pain, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and more than 150 different musculoskeletal conditions.
We are seeking your support for our telehealth service - the MSK Help Line - a free national service that enables people to talk with highly qualified, clinically trained nurses.
The impact of COVID-19 on our community is a great concern to us as our at-risk group is being largely overlooked by the government and peak health bodies.
Now more than ever, it’s important to ensure the most vulnerable people in our community - particularly the aged, those with supressed immune systems, people with disability and others with a musculoskeletal condition - are aware of and have access to this free service. The MSK Help Line supports our community in dealing with questions about musculoskeletal conditions that are now coupled with feelings of anxiety and the effects of social isolation.
It is vital MSK receives investment to meet our core funding costs. The MSK Help Line is a lifeline to many and the demand for MSK’s services grows by the day.
