Northern Rivers Wildlife Carers Inc. (NRWC) is located on the far north coast of New South Wales (NSW), Australia. NRWC covers one of the largest and most biodiverse areas of any wildlife caring group in NSW and we regularly rescue rare and threatened species. Unfortunately the vast majority of the animals come into care because of the adverse effects of human activity.
NRWC trained carers are licensed by National Parks & Wildlife Service to rescue and rehabilitate sick, injured or orphaned wildlife for release back into the wild. We are an independent organisation and have been part of the NSW Northern Rivers community since 1992. Visit our website at www.wildlifecarers.com or facebook to find out more about us.
The majority of our funding comes from donations like yours which we spend solely on wildlife rehabilitation activities. All members are volunteers and we do not have any paid staff. All donations are gratefully accepted and we are very thankful for your help.
How your donation can help:
- $5 cares for a bird or young mammal for a week
- $15 covers the cost of operating the 24/7 hotline for a day
- $20 enables us to transport injured animals to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital for specialised treatment
- $100 cares for an orphaned flying fox through crèche and release
- $200 cares for an orphaned wallaby through to release
