The World Federation of Deaf (WFD) is an international organisation committed to empowering and educating Deaf, Deafblind, and hard-of-hearing people.  Every four years WFD congress brings together from all over the world to promote human rights, education, diversity, and equality as well as celebrate Deaf cultural identity.  

Deaf people in the Pacific region have limited access and exposure to international events due to remote location and financial restraints.   WFD do not have any funding to support any members who may want to attend so we want to support Deaf people from the Pacific who have not been able to attend the WFD Ordinary meeting and WFD congress. 

Your donations will support their travel costs, registration fees, visa, insurance, accommodation, and other relevant spending required to attend the WFD Congress and meeting. 

The Pacific countries we want to support include:

1.Samoa

2. Tonga 

3. Kiribati

4. Tuvalu

5. Micronesia

6. Marshall Islands

7. Solomon Islands

8. Vanuatu

9.  Papua New Guinea

10. Palau

11. Naura

12. Fiji

   Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Samoa have members and attended the WFD congress in the past.
