How will the funds be used?
Your gift ensures that LGBTQIASB+ young people have somewhere to turn when they need it most—whether that’s a safe place to sleep, food on the table, a Support Worker by their side, or access to counselling that helps them feel seen and heard. Beyond crisis care, your donation helps create opportunities for connection, belonging and self-agency so every young person knows they are valued and never alone.
Donations also help us run affirming programs and events where young people can celebrate who they are, fostering self expression and belonging.
These funds allow Open Doors to respond not only in moments of crisis but also to build long-term pathways of connection, resilience and pride for thousands of young people each year.
Your generosity makes this possible—thank you for standing with us 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈✊.

We would like to acknowledge the Jagera and Turrbal People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather today. We pay respect to Elders, past and present and emerging. I would also like to acknowledge and respect the continuation of Cultural, Spiritual, Educational and Health practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ strength, resilience and capacity in response to the impacts of colonisation. We also recognise that this is unceded land, so it always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
