At Outback Instincts, we believe every young person deserves the chance to feel safe, connected, and capable of building a better future and our goal is to empower local youth with resilience, skills, and community through free, rural-based programs. Your donation keeps our programs free - or low-cost - and accessible to all.

Our flagship programs—Youth in the Yards, Equine Elevate, Paws on the Ground, and The Paddock Project—include animals, rural trades, and the land to transform lives. Youth learn cattle showing, horsemanship, therapy dog handling, and hands-on rural skills that build resilience, teamwork, and confidence.

We regularly receive referrals from schools, support services, government organisations and families across the Darling Downs. The demand is overwhelming - dozens of young people each month are seeking a place in our programs. To meet this need, we are committed to keeping programs free or low-cost, so that no young person misses out because of money.

Your donation goes directly to funding program places, resources, and animals that make this change possible.

 
Suggested Donations
$25 – covers feed and care for animals that work alongside our youth.
$50 – provides resources for hands-on rural projects like fencing or gardening.
$75 – keeps one young person engaged in our programs for a week.
$100 – ensures a youth has transport, resources, and full program access each week.
